In 1973, following Picasso's death, his heirs donated his personal art collection to the state in lieu of paying outrageous inheritance taxes, and the Musée Picasso was created from these holdings. Because the works here are exhibited in rotation, you can pay a visit to this museum on each of your trips to Paris and see something different every time. The museum displays works by other artists collected by Picasso, including Carot, Cézanne, Braque, Rousseau, Matisse, and Renoir.
