Spread out of 63 acres, the city's most formal gardens originally ran between the Louvre and Catherine de' Medici's Palais des Tuileries, which was burned down during the 1871 Paris Commune. In keeping with the French style of parks, the trees are planted according to an orderly design, and the sandy paths are arrow straight. You can catch some rays from one of the chairs surrounding the ponds and fountains and get a light snack at one of the outdoror cafes. during summer, a carnival features and enormous Ferris wheel. |
